This is an absolutely wonderful collection classic tales and more presented by the library of america in a beautiful edition and sold on at very fair price. Buy this huge ( 1,493 acid free pages) book.
This review is for the Library of America Hawthorne "Tales and Sketches" book. I reviewed the Hawethorne tales as "Predictable" due to his last work being published in 1850. The books from the Library of America are of very good high quality. Page-paper is very thin but not bible-thin, so these books might not work well for young readers who may tear the delicate paper. This book is almost 1500 pages in spite of its small size, making it very portable.
wonderful compilation of tales and sketches(and in chronological order!) also includes pertinent notes.will always order from the library of america.

I love Nathanael Hawthorne's short story, so I wanted to get it on paper to put in my library. I ordered it and I'm glad I did, however, I felt like the small book looked more like a pamphlet when I received it.
It's a series of classics. Nathaniel Hawthorne is an amazing author and his works are filled with still relevant commentary on today's society. This particular edition is edited well and easy to jump to different works or different chapters. $.99 is a steal.
